Double Stroller

The double stroller has been a great way to move twins or two small babies when there is only one adult to handle them. There have been more twins and triplets being born within the past ten years than ever before. The double stroller has come along way as well with the new advancements in lightweight metals and constructive engineering. You can get one of these double strollers to fit in relatively small spaces and still maintain the weight that you are comfortable with. Extra large wheels are one component that is responsible for the ease of movement when you are transporting two kids over many types of terrain. Still yet there are a couple of different strollers that vie for the lead. There is one called the DuoGlider which receives great marks for both price and value.

One of the most popular features of the DuoGlider is the stadium seating which lets the rear passenger enjoy a higher view while giving the adult a better grasp at the lower storage basket. One of the only downfalls of such a stroller is the fact that is weighs thirty seven pounds but there has to be some give and take with such a product which must combine comfort with safety. The thing that makes this Graco stroller a great value is that the durability rating may be lower than other strollers but the only one in its class costs almost twice as much which is a Peg Perego.

If you are in the market for a double stroller there are basically two different styles to choose from. There is the tandem or one in front and one in back style or the side by side style which speaks for itself. The tandem style double stroller seats the children in such a way that you want stadium views from them or the back seat can be quite restrictive to them and gives the back passenger less enjoyment. Usually the older of the two children sit in the back for two reasons. One is because they should be bigger which gives them a better view and the other is because you need to tend to the younger a bit more and the front is much more accessible than the rear.

The tandem type of stroller fits better in the doorways but is somewhat harder to maneuver it has been said. The side-by-side type seats children right next to each other. For steering purposes, these strollers work best with twins or two kids of approximately equal weight. Of the two kinds of double strollers, side-by-side models maneuver over curbs better. In reply to parent feedback, manufacturers are making these types of baby strollers narrower to fit better through doorways, but side-by-side strollers will always be tricky to maneuver through tiny, crowded passageways.
