Cosco Baby Products
Cosco baby products have
been providing quality juvenile products and home / office furnishings
since 1935. Within these
years of growth Cosco baby products have made their way in to the home of
countless families to provide safety, comfort and a variety of items. In 1960, cosco was recognized as the largest maker of step
stools and push carts not forgetting that at that time they were the
second largest folding furniture maker as well.
Later in the same decade around 1964 they introduced the toilette
trainer which has helped little ones get potty trained ever since. Ten years later in 1974 they launched the Two Step stool that
is now still a best seller.
As progress does in 1982,
America was happy to see the Safe-T-Seat™ become the first child
restraint approved for use on aircraft which made history.
Then in 1994 the company expanded the Cosco step stool line into
the 3-step category with the Tri-Step™ series which featured a Paint
’n Tool™ tray and gave birth to a whole new era in child development
toys. If Cosco baby products
weren’t already considered the best, in 1998 they presented the High
Back Booster that became #1 in the U.S. in less than a year proving that
cosco was a juvenile product maker to be reckoned with. In 1988, Cosco was bought out by Dorel Industries Inc. Dorel,
a quickly growing consumer products maker, specializes in juvenile
products; an extensive variety of ready-to-assemble home and office
furnishings; and home furnishings such as metal folding chairs, tables,
bunk beds, futons and step stools to name a few. Its concrete history
includes successfully integrating various acquisitions, including Safety
1st, Charleswood, Maxi-Miliaan, Ameriwood Industries and Baby Comfort.
